Pauline Biography & Chronology: Arranging the Letters and Looking at the “Jerusalem Collection”

I based my chronological order on the places that Paul had visited, who he mentioned and where he was planning to visit. I could not really get too much information but I tried my best. I believe the first letter is 1&2 Corinthians. In these letters, Paul speaks of going to Macedonia for the first time. “After I go through Macedonia, I will come to you…” I believe that Corinthians is supposed to have four letters but the first and third or the second and third letters were lost. Regardless, I believe that both Corinthians belong together. Next is Philippians. Philippians states, “when I set out from Macedonia…” In Philippians he has already made it to Macedonia, therefore Philippians must come after Corinthians. Next is Romans. Romans says, “Macedonia and Achaia have been pleased to make a contribution for the poor among the saints (Jewish believers) in Jerusalem.” I understood this as a way of saying Paul has been to both of those places. This makes Romans fall after Philippians. Last is Galatians. “Then after fourteen years, I went up again to Jerusalem, this time with Barnabas.” Paul mentions that he went “again” to Jerusalem, obviously meaning that he had already gone to Jerusalem once before. Galatians mentions Antioch, so this is what made me unsure, because none of the other books mentioned it. I still believe this would be the last of the books.
